Fitzroy Beach New Plymouth

Fitzroy Beach is a popular swimming and surf beach in New Plymouth.

The beach is popular with both locals and visitors. It is part of the 12.7 km New Plymouth Coastal Walkway, that runs from Pioneer Park at Port Taranaki to Bell Block Beach.

The Fitzroy Surf Lifesaving Club patrol the beach during weekends in the summer months and during the week during the summer school holiday period.

Fitzroy Beach Holiday Park, which offers deluxe cabins, powered sites, and unpowered tent sites is located right by the beach.

Fitzroy Beach is located 3 km north of New Plymouth. Access is at the end of Beach Road, Fitzroy, New Plymouth.

Deluxe Diner New Plymouth

Deluxe Diner is a locally owned and run 1950s retro American style diner in New Plymouth.

Deluxe Diner’s interior is designed in the style a 1950s American diner, featuring a giant jukebox, neon signs, walls covered with 1950s retro memorabilia, black and white floor tiles, a mint green counter, and those classic red diner booths.

They serve all-day breakfast, lunch and dinner, are fully-licensed, and have vegetarian and gluten free options. The food portions are generous too!

It is open Tuesday to Sunday from 10 am to 9 pm. Diner opens an hour earlier at 9 am on Saturday and Sundays.
